Positive: We absolutely loved it here. 4 nights became 6 then 6 nights became 8! We didn't want to leave but had to move on. The family and extended family were so friendly, helpful and informative - the atmosphere and interaction we had made us feel like locals. Even 'competitors' from other Homestays were happy to help with anything we needed and always chatted. Whilst there is only a breakfast service, on 3 occasions 'Mamma' kindly cooked fish and seafood that we'd bought,on her BBQ. She cooked it wonderfully - it was delicious and made even better because we had bought the fish from a family member at a great price. My wife and I were unwell one day and the family ensured that we were okay, had everything we needed and said to just call if we needed anything. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a nice balcony where we could sit and relax and put up 2 washing lines to dry our laundry! On our last day we changed rooms to a Deluxe room which was facilitated wonderfully as adding to our stay twice caused some additional planning on their part. The move was seamless. The deluxe room has a sea view and 'jacuzzi ' and by bringing a couple of chairs onto the balcony from the communal terrace area we were able to relax with our morning coffee and enjoy the hustle and bustle of this little community. Breakfast is put out each day and can be eaten in the communal terrace or taken back to the room. Breakfast is different everyday, but if you want something in particular, they will make it for you. This homestay has only been open about 5 weeks, so there are going to be a few teething problems, but this wonderful family bend over backwards to make you happy! And yes, Google translate does need to be used, but that's the way of the times these days. Can't wait to go back and stay this wonderful family and be on this lovely island again! A few bars, restaurants and shops close by but very low key and quiet.
