Positive: The indoor dining area is right on the beach, with windows all-around, and the outdoor lounge area is awesome (chairs, a hammock, covered dining areas, quality stonework steps down to the beach, and more). For the dinner I ordered, they substituted fish for pork -- very accommodating -- and the bar, with very reasonably priced beers and drinks, is 24 hours! This is a family run place with a happy, awesome staff. Badladz is founded by a female, and she has a legendary biography in her own right; read up on it, as it posted in the restaurant area. (Okay, certainly the hubby had a hand in it -- and what a great team.) The pool is the best ever with a waterfall in the corner that has sitting area behind it built for two, perfectly romantic, but even it you go alone, I assure you won't be let down. I only had two nights there, but I can't wait to go back.

Negative: The cappuccino is made from pre-fab packets, not a fresh ground coffee with real milk, but there a little port plaza nearby -- the one with Spanish galleon ship docked there for photo-ops -- where you can get top-notch coffee. It's a 150 peso trike ride to that spot, and very much worth the time.

Summary: Love the staff, the pool, location, proximity to the ferry port, and they arrange moterbike rentals
